It is tailored to China’s national conditions and represents a domestically advanced level of technology. The HCXGW-12 outdoor high‑voltage RMU integrates 12kV switchgear, power PT cabinet, feeder FTU, RTU, communication control terminal, metering and automatic meter reading, UPS power supply, etc, into a movable, sealed, and moisture-proof stainless steel or non‑metallic enclosure after installation and commissioning. This shortens the construction period and realizes the integration of primary and secondary systems and modular assembly in urban distribution networks.

Structural Features

1. The outdoor RMU is composed of the HCXGN series gas‑insulated cabinet with a fully insulated and sealed structure, and the outdoor enclosure. The enclosure has strong corrosion resistance; invisible fasteners on the surface, excellent anti‑theft performance, IP43 protection rating, and strong rainproof capability.

2. The top cover adopts a double-layer air sandwich structure, with the outer layer sloped for drainage and equipped with ventilation holes. Air inlets are located at the bottom and sides of the enclosure, fitted with removable dust filters. Natural upward air convection forms inside the enclosure, providing excellent heat insulation and ventilation. The enclosure has a sealed floor at the cable entry point to prevent moisture from the cable trench from entering. All door‑to‑enclosure contact areas are sealed with gaskets. After opening, the doors are equipped with windproof devices for secure operation, and the door locks are designed to be rainproof.

3. All switchgear is pre‑installed and tested before leaving the factory. On‑site installation only requires hoisting the enclosure into place. The installation is simple and occupies a small footprint.

Stainless steel enclosure: made of stainless steel with standard powder coating in State Grid green; other colors are available.Landscape-style enclosure: Made of stainless steel, with decorative wood-plastic strips embedded around the box; powder coating color is optional.GRC enclosure: Non-metallic enclosure, cast from cement mortar using special cement mixed with fiberglass and other materials.
